World Environment Day has been celebrated since the 1970s, always with relevant and necessary themes. In 2025, the theme is the End of Global Plastic Pollution, and the Embrasa Group has been producing and recycling woven polypropylene (WPP) sacks and FIBC Bulk Bags for years.

This year, the Republic of Korea leads the global celebrations. Each year, a host country coordinates worldwide actions focused on the chosen theme. The challenge is urgent: only 9% of plastics are recycled globally, while 2,000 truckloads of plastic waste are improperly discarded every day.

Embrasa has been turning this challenge into a solution for 50 years.
